I have chosen to complete part C focusing on Graffiti Artist Banksy.
Banksy was born in 1974 and raised in Bristol, England. The son of a photocopier technician he trained as a butcher however became involved in graffiti during great Bristol aerosol boom in the late 1980s. His artwork often comes with a stand out message that often relates to society or the environment we live in.
Banksy does not sell photos of his artwork - however auctioneers have been known to sell his works and leave the problem of removal to the winning bidder.
Banksy's street art combines his particular stencilling technique and graffiti writing similar to french artist Blek Le Rat. His artwork often stands out, sometimes relating to the enviroment around it.

Career and Life Style.
Banksy started as a freehand graffiti artist 1992 - 1994 as one of Bristol's DryBreadZ crew he was inspired by local artists and his artwork was part of the Bristol underground scene. From the start Banksy used stencils - but after realising this technique saved time he carried on and soon became widely known for his styles of graffiti.
Banksy's stencils feature striking and humorous images sometimes combined with captions. The messages are often anti-war, anti-capitalism or anti-establishment. Subjects often include soldiers, rats, spiders, monkeys, children or the elderly. He also creates sculpture for example the "murdered phone-box" as seen below:

On top of sculpture and graffiti Banksy also creates stickers - "the Neighbourhood watch subvert"
Career Path.
Banksys art is often sold by auctioneers for soaring prices for example his one piece "grafitti removal": that sold for £92,000 way over the estimated price. However banksy has no known career most likely down to having a hidden identity.
"graffiti removal"
Influence.
I chose Banksy for this section because just like me he likes to make a statement both colourful and bright images. All pulling it's viewer in - I also enjoy the way he uses art to express his points to the public mixing them with the surrounding environment. His artwork stands out it is different and unique combining two very different techniques.
